Day 1: Cairo
Welcome to Egypt, upon your arrival at Cairo airport keep your eyes open for out and about adventure sign, our airport representative will assist you through immigration and passport control and collecting your baggage. You will then be transferred to your hotel, freshen up and start our group meeting with your tour guide and other group members, who will brief you about the tour package and the amazing experiences you will have over the next eight days. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy the ambiance of Cairo! Or you can enjoy Optional Activities Group Dinner on the Cruise.

Day 2: Egyptian Museum and Giza Pyramids Complex
Breakfast will be prepared. Today will be an early day of tours and adventures. A tour of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo would allow you to see some of the most important and valuable artifacts from ancient Egypt. The museum is home to over 120,000 objects, including the world-famous collection of Tutankhamun's tombs, mask, and sarcophagus. The rest of the day will be spent exploring Egypt’s famous pyramids and Sphinx. Enjoy the iconic wonders as you learn about the ancient history of Cairo. Time will be allotted to visit the Giza Pyramids complex -the Pyramid of Cheops or Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre or Chephren, and the Pyramid of Menkaure or Mykerinos. your tour guide will accompany you to learn about the 4,600-year. You will have a chance to visit the inside of one of the pyramids if you wish. The pyramids have wrought great mystery over the years, as the individual blocks of the pyramid often weigh upwards of one ton. People have speculated that aliens were behind their massive construction, and as such, they draw millions of visitors each year.
From there, we will make our way out to the Valley Temple of the Pyramids, where the iconic symbol of Egypt, the mighty Sphinx, lies. Our Egyptologist will provide you with all the lore and tales that surround the half-lion, a half-man creature as you get up close and personal with its majestic nature.
Our last stop will be the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Saqqara, which is Egypt's oldest pyramid, dating back to the 3rd Dynasty of Egypt. Transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3: Cairo City Tour and Khan El Khalili Bazaar
Today we will start our city tour of Cairo by visiting. The Church of St. Sergius This is one of the oldest Coptic churches in Cairo, located in the heart of the city's Coptic quarter. It is said to have been built on the site where the Holy Family stayed during their flight to Egypt. Our adventure continues to The Church of St. Bacchus This church is in the Coptic quarter as well and is dedicated to St. Bacchus, a Christian soldier who was martyred for his faith. And then The Hanging Church: Also known as the Church of the Virgin Mary, this is one of Cairo’s most famous Coptic churches. It gets its name from its location above a gatehouse of the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon. Our next stop will be at The Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the oldest synagogues in Cairo and in the old Jewish quarter. It has a rich history and is said to have been built on the site where Baby Moses was found in a basket on the Nile. Afterward, we will be heading to the Citadel of Cairo, also known as the Citadel of Saladin, a medieval fortress and historic site located on a hill in the center of Cairo.
Our last stop today is Khan El Khalili Bazaar. This is one of the oldest and most famous bazaars in the Middle East, known for its unique shopping experience and rich history. Here, you can find a variety of traditional Egyptian products such as spices, textiles, jewelry, and souvenirs. Transfer back to your hotel

Are airport transfers included and how do I arrange them?
Yes, all our tours start in Cairo including airport arrival transfer. You should contact us at info@outandaboutadventure.com with all your flight information (name of travelers, date of flight, flight number, and arrival time) at least two weeks before your departure date. You should contact Out and About Adventure if you do not receive confirmation of your pick-up arrangements. On the day of your arrival, an Out and About Adventure representative will meet you at the airport holding a sign with the company's name.
How Can I book pre or post Accommodations?
It's always recommended to book pre/post-tour accommodation, especially if you arrive late at night or depart early in the morning. This will help ensure a smooth and hassle-free transition between your accommodation and the tour itself. During the online booking process, be sure to follow the instructions provided or contact us at info@outandaboutadventure.com directly for assistance with arranging pre/post-tour accommodation.
The best time to visit Egypt is between October and April, temperatures are cooler but you are still guaranteed sun. During spring and autumn daytime temperatures will reach hit 77-86°F (25-30°C) but the evenings are much cooler. Egypt is blessed with a whole lot of sunshine and very little rain.
Where is the welcome meeting on day 1 of my tour?
The welcome meeting with your tour guide and other group members will be held in the hotel lobby around 7 pm. If there are any changes to the arrival hotel, you will be notified by email before the trip. Attending the welcome meeting is important as it's a great opportunity to meet your tour guide and fellow travelers and receive important information about the tour itinerary, safety guidelines, and other important details. However, if you are unable to attend the welcome meeting due to late arrival, be sure to let us know in advance.
Can I be roomed with my friends?
Please contact us at info@outandaboutadventure.com with your request and we will do our best to arrange your room according to that.
I’m a solo passenger, do I need to pay a single supplement?
There are always solo travelers on our tours if you are willing to share a room with another solo traveler of the same gender. While having a single room can be more expensive due to the single room supplement fee, it can be worth it for those who value privacy, and comfort, having a private room allows you to have your own space and privacy, which can be important for some travelers who prefer to have some alone time or need to unwind after a long day of sightseeing.
Do you arrange Flights Tickets?
Our tours do not include airfare from or to the destination, and we do not advise on tickets or sell flight tickets, it`s your responsibility to arrive at the designated destination on time.
What is a Tipping Kitty Cover?
Out and About Adventure collects a tipping kitty at the start of each tour, covering the hotel staff, Drivers, luggage handlers, local staff, and other support representatives throughout the trip.
This is often the easiest way to avoid the hassle of needing small change and knowing when and what is an appropriate amount to tip. Participation in this kitty is optional, and you are welcome to manage your tipping separately if you prefer. Please note the tipping kitty excludes tips for your tour leader.
On the first day of your trip, your local tour leader will collect a group tipping kitty from you, to which everybody contributes an equal amount at the start of the tour. Your leader then uses this to tip drivers, local guides, and hotel staff, luggage handlers, support representatives on your behalf. This took the hassle out of tipping and was something we were all very grateful for.
Whom will I be sharing a room with?
All our Travelers will stay in twin-share rooms with a Traveler of the same gender. Sharing a room means that you will be staying in the same room with another person, typically a member of the same tour group. The room will be a twin room with two separate beds, you will be paired with someone of the same gender.
Sharing a room can be a great way to meet new people and make friends on your trip. You'll have someone to talk to and share experiences with, and you may even stay in touch after the tour. It can also be a more affordable option for travelers on a budget, as you will typically pay less for a shared room than a private one.
