After a hearty breakfast, get ready for a day filled with early tours and adventures. We will be exploring Egypt's famous pyramids and Sphinx, iconic wonders that are steeped in ancient history. The first stop will be the Giza Pyramids complex, which consists of the Pyramid of Cheops or Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre or Chephren, and the Pyramid of Menkaure or Mykerinos. Your guide will provide valuable insights into the 4600-year-old tombs, including their historical background, construction methods, and the duration it took the ancient Egyptians to build them.
In addition to learning about the pyramids, your guide will also give you ample time to take as many photos as you desire. If you wish, you can even visit the inside of one of the pyramids. These monumental structures, each weighing upwards of one ton, have been the subject of great mystery over the years, with some speculating that aliens were behind their construction. It's no wonder they draw millions of visitors each year.
Next up is the Valley Temple of the Pyramids, where the mighty Sphinx, Egypt's iconic symbol, lies. Your Egyptologist guide will share all the lore and tales surrounding this half-lion, a half-man creature as you get up close and personal with its majestic nature.
Our final stop for the day is the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Sakkara, the oldest pyramid in Egypt dating back to the 3rd Dynasty of Egypt. After this amazing day of touring, we'll transport you to the train station to board a sleeper train for Aswan.
